Athletics Overview

St. Thomas More’s athletics program is rooted in tradition and develops young men and women physically while instilling in them values of leadership, teamwork, and commitment.

Each year, over 50 percent of students participate in at least one of our 18 sports. With both cut and non-cut sports, athletes of all levels are encouraged to participate even if they have no prior experience. With 40 different teams at varying levels, St. Thomas More provides ample opportunities for student participation and many students participate in numerous sports. Our coaches continually encourage our athletes to perform at their absolute best and to teach them not only how to perform in their sport of choice, but how to excel as both leaders and team members.

St. Thomas More is a part of the Metro Classic Conference and has 18 WIAA-sanctioned varsity sports. Our newly renovated gymnasium with the Rick Majerus Court is the hub of our athletic program and serves as our indoor practice facility and field house for volleyball matches and basketball games. Our beautiful campus is large enough to offer practices on our school grounds and the majority of our sports facilities have recently been upgraded. The athletic department is proud of our outstanding coaching staff, many of whom are alumni of St. Thomas More.
