Molly Pufall-Brown Named Fine Arts Coordinator at St. Thomas More High School

Music educator and performer steps into role Feb. 18.

MILWAUKEE, FEB. 16, 2026 – Following a series of enhancements and expansions of its arts programming, St. Thomas More High School announced Monday it has hired long-time music educator Molly Pufall-Brown to lead its efforts to boost the profile and offerings of its fine arts curriculum and after-school programming.

The news comes on the heels of the school’s recent successful Arts. For All Seasons.” capital campaign, raising $1 million in a year to fund added upper-level arts courses, new technology, and a modern overhaul of its nearly 600-seat theater.

In her role as Fine Arts Coordinator, Pufall-Brown will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fine arts program and will oversee music, theater, visual arts, and dance initiatives. Additionally, she will play a key role in planning and executing the school’s new auditorium project.

Her predecessor, Betsy Corry, held the role of Fine Arts Advisor since 2024, and steps aside as she expands her growing arts curriculum consulting practice. Corry, who was closely involved in the hiring process, endorsed Pufall-Brown to carry forward the momentum built since launching the arts campaign.

“Molly brings a unique combination of knowledge and practice in arts and education, along with strong leadership skills and initiative. These attributes are going to serve the St. Thomas More community so well as she takes on this new position and works to grow and strengthen our fine arts programs,” Corry said. “Molly will make a great partner in these efforts with our exceptional staff, board, and students!”

A mother of three daughters, Pufall-Brown holds a master’s degree in music, with concentrations in jazz studies, early music, and ethnomusicology from Northern Illinois University. She brings extensive experience as an Assistant Professor of Music and Performance/Audition Coordinator at Alverno College, professional singer of Early Music, Jazz and Choral music, serves as Fellowship Choir Director at Unity Lutheran Church in Brookfield, WI, and maintains her own freelance Kids Choir and Voice Studio.  She also founded Fernwood Music Parents, a music advocacy organization supporting urban public schools.

Reflecting on her vision for the future of the arts at St. Thomas More, Pufall-Brown shared, "St. Thomas More has enormous potential to be a true arts mecca, serving students and the broader south side of the greater Milwaukee area through engaging, quality, and meaningful experiences in the arts.  I am honored to be in this role at St. Thomas More and look forward to building upon the already wonderful programming that is offered to students and the community."
