St. Thomas More High School is pleased to highlight Leigha Wardlow ('27), an exceptional senior who is a true Cavalier. She has consistently set high standards for herself by combining rigorous academics with an active athletic career. Leigha gives her full commitment both on the court and on the track as an important member of the varsity girls' basketball team, where she has been named a three-time Honorable Mention All-Conference selection, and of the varsity track and field team, where she has already qualified for the state twice and holds three school records. Outside of sports, Leigha is involved in her school community as a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and the National Honor Society (NHS), and she also works at Tuckaway Country Club during both the summer and the school year.
For Leigha, what it means to be a Cavalier is to be part of a community, to achieve personal growth and to form genuine connections. She credits STM with giving her the opportunity to excel both at school and in sports, and she shows her appreciation for the support network that helps her cope with difficulties and stay balanced. Leigha enjoys taking part in a wide range of activities because she believes they help her better understand different points of view. The school thanks Leigha for showing MORE Cavalier pride every day.
