St. Thomas More High School is proud to feature Max Lelinski, a senior whose strong ties to the school and his leadership on campus perfectly reflect the spirit of our school’s legacy. Max's connection to STM is part of a family tradition; he is the 22nd member of the Lelinski family to have attended Thomas More or one of its predecessor schools. The halls of the school that he now walks have been inhabited by numerous relatives, reaching as far back as his grandfather, Tom Lelinski (DB '56 and ‘06 Hall of Fame Inductee), who was an All-Conference football center while in school and went on to serve for 35 years with the Milwaukee Police Department, working closely with local youth.  His grandpa, like many other Lelinski family members, set a powerful example that Max carries forward today.

 

At school, Max puts into practice the same community-oriented attitude as his grandfather by having a highly active high school career. As president of the student council, a member of NHS and the SADD Club, and a competitor in varsity track and field and powerlifting, he consistently and humbly leads his peers. He also volunteers at school events such as the freshman retreat, serves as catering lead at the Milwaukee County Zoo, and cheers for his classmates at most STM athletic games. Because of his commitment to excellence, he has received highest honors for all three years of high school.

 

We are grateful to Max for the excellent leadership he has shown as a student, for ensuring that his family's remarkable tradition of service continues, and for inspiring his classmates each day. Thank you, Max, for helping us all discover MORE about our legacy through your example.
