  • How can an 8th grader prepare to join your program?

Make sure you are working hard on the team that they are currently on. You should be working on your passing, setting, hitting and serving skills. We love when we hear the our girls are playing on a club team. Also, come to the open gyms that are offered in the summer and do the summer lifting program that is offered by STM.
  • What is one thing you hope athletes take away from a season with you?

I hope that they improve in their volleyball skills but also come out as a better teammate and person. I want them to be prepared for the years ahead and take their leaderships skills into their career in the future.
  • Why do you love coaching at STM?

I played volleyball here at Thomas More all my years in high school. I have some of the best memories on the volleyball court and also learned a lot that I was able to take on with me when I played in college and then into my career. I want to give back to STM what was given to me.
  • How would you describe the atmosphere and fellowship among your players?

It is more of a sisterhood. We try to instill that we are a family and that it doesn’t matter what year in school you are. They are all working hard to achieve the same end goal. It is amazing to see when seniors are friends with freshman and juniors with sophomores!
