Coach's Message:
The goal of the STM Track & Field program is to field a competitive team and develop in our student-athletes an appreciation for the sport of Track & Field. Our coaching staff is excited to work with the team in 2010 to help them achieve their goals. The goals of our athletes range anywhere from achieving a personal best in their event to qualifying for the WIAA State Meet in June. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Head Coach Dan Steffes TM 03 at dsteffes@tmore.org.
Saint Thomas More Girls Track Records
So far in 2009, three freshman girls' records have been broken. Stephanie Piparo shattered the pole vault record with a vault of 8'6" at the Sectional meet, also tying the school record. Becca Housey broke the freshman girls' record in the 400m dash with a sprint of 1:05.84 at the Parker Invitational. The 4 x 800m relay team of Christina Rembalski, Morgan Halwas, Madeline Wernsman, and Alyssa Loferski set a new record in 11:56.93 at the Conference Outdoor meet. The 4 x 400m relay team of Piparo, Loferski, Wernsman, and Housey set a new record in 4:39.70, also at the Conference Outdoor meet.
The pole vault relay team of juniors Ellie Wood and Arielle Fuchs along with freshman Stephanie Piparo set a new school record in the pole vault relay at 23'0", breaking the existing record of 21'6". Wood and Piparo have both tied the school record in the pole vault, each going 8'6".
With all the great athletes that STM has produced, there are some very impressive track records, some of which have stood for decades. Please click the links below to view the records for girls track at STM:

WIAA State Qualifiers
In 2001, the Wisconsin Independent Schools Athletic Association (WISAA) merged with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), bringing both public and private schools together for the state tournament series for the first time. St. Thomas More is proud that we have sent at least one athlete each year, with the exception of 2002. Here are our previous WIAA State Qualifiers:
