Mission Statement
Our mission at Saint Thomas More High School is to love, educate, and serve young people in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Saint Thomas More educates students in a safe, caring, college preparatory environment, emphasizing Catholic faith and morals, and academic excellence and innovation. Providing a family-like atmosphere, Saint Thomas More nurtures the whole person: spiritual, ethical, intellectual, emotional, and physical, preparing young people to become living signs of Christ’s love to the world.

About Saint Thomas More
Enrollment: 455 students in 2008-2009 (44% female, 56% male, 31% minority students).
Tuition: $7,850. At the time of registration a $200 non-refundable deposit is required. Incoming freshmen can select a fixed tuition rate for all four years. Please call the Business Office for details.
Faculty: 31 faculty members. All of our faculty members have secondary education degrees, nearly half have master's degrees.
Student/Teacher Ratio: 15:1
Average Class Size: 22 students
Percentage of Graduates Attending College: 98%. The Class of 2008 earned $1.8 million in college scholarships.
Campus: 16-acre campus which includes football/soccer field, baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, track and adjacent parking lots.
Class Schedule: Traditional schedule with eight class periods daily. School begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 2:42 p.m.
History: Saint Thomas More was formed in 1972 through the merger of Don Bosco and Pio Nono, all-boys' high schools. The west building originally housed the St. Francis Minor Seminary. In 1989, TM became co-ed.
Open House: The Saint Thomas More 2009 Open House will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2009, beginning with Mass at 9:30 AM. School tours will run from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Families inquiring about our school after the Open House are invited to call for a guidedtour of our facilities.
Placement Test: All incoming freshmen must take the Placement Test. Saint Thomas More will hold its placement test on November 6, 2009. An alternate test date of Saturday, December 5, 2009 is also scheduled. Academic scholarships will be determined from the November test scores only.
Admission: Determined based upon the student's Placement Test score, as well as middle school records. This information is also used for placement in math, science, foreign language, and English courses. Transfer students are accepted based on records from their current high school. Our enrollment policies do not discriminate on the basis of sex, ethnic origin, or religion.
