Shadow Day Visit

Are you trying to decide if Saint Thomas More High School is right for you? Participating in our Shadow Visitor program is one of the best ways to do that!  This program affords students the opportunity to live a day in the life of a Saint Thomas More student.  Shadow visitors will participate in all activities of their Shadow host and get a real sense of the high school experience.

As a Shadow Visitor, you will be paired with a current STM student, who is referred to as an Ambassador.  We have dozens of volunteer Ambassadors that are eager to showcase the school that they love.  Our Ambassadors have been hand-picked because of their friendliness, communication skills and passion for STM.  If you know or are related to a current STM student and would like to shadow with him/her, we are more than happy to make that arrangement.

The perks that our Shadow Visitors will enjoy include:

• Attending classes and listening to lessons taught by our dedicated faculty
• The chance to become familiar with our campus and the locations within our building
• Meeting current STM students and staff
• Getting an overall feeling for the Saint Thomas More experience
• Receiving a voucher to enjoy a typical school lunch on us!

Set Up Your Visit!

Because we want you to get the most out of your stay, we highly recommend that Shadow visitors come only on full school days (i.e. not a “Half Day”, “Early Release”, or a “Special Schedule” day).   Shadow visits should be set up at least one week in advance. Review available dates between September 15 – April 15 on the School Calendar . Please choose three dates that will be most convenient to you and your student.  You may register online (see below), or by contacting the Admissions Office to set up your Shadow visit.

You'll need to fill out a permission slip and interest survey before setting up a Shadow Visit.  Click on the links to download the forms.  After filling the forms out, you can send them back to us through fax, mail, e-mail, or in person.  We can mail hardcopies of them to you if you would prefer.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact:

Before You Register!

Please note:

  • Only 7th and 8th grade students will be allowed to shadow at this time
  • "Special Schedule" days are not recommended for shadow visits.  If there is a conflict with a chosen day, you will be contacted by an STM representative
  • STM will use the information that you provide to match your student with a compatible shadow host

Due to exam preparation, the Shadow Program has ended for this school year.  If you would like to learn more about STM now, please call and set up a school tour.  7th graders, we'll hope to see you next fall!
