Events for Grade School Students and Incoming Freshmen
It has always been our goal and desire to make individuals feel a part of the Saint Thomas More High School Family right from the start. Whether you come to us as a visitor, a prospective student, or an alum, we want you to feel welcome and at home within our walls.

Big Buddy Bowl-a-Thon
The time between acceptance to our school and the first day of classes for our incoming freshmen is a pivotal time in their development and preparation to become students at STM. We plan activities, outings, and events for our incoming freshmen and their families to ease the transition from middle school student to high school student.
On this site you will see a variety of events that we have planned for our incoming freshmen and their families. It is never too early to sign up for these events! We want you to sign up for as many as possible to become more familiar with both the school itself and the faculty, staff, and other students that will play such a vital role in the lives of our incoming freshmen over the next four years.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding any of the events listed on this page, please contact Eric Blaufuss, Recruitment Assistant.
We look forward to seeing you at our events!

Upcoming Events
Preparing for Success
Tuesday, August 3
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The transition from eighth grade to high school is never easy. Classes go faster, tests are harder, and students have more responsibilities.
Saint Thomas More High School will hold a half-day event called “Preparing for Success” on Tuesday, August 3 to help students learn how to succeed in high school. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Saint Thomas More High School. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
STM teachers will lead four workshops throughout the day: "Preparing to Take Tests," "Taking Good Notes," "Getting Involved at STM," and "Time Management and Organizational Skills." These classes are a great way for students to learn how to keep up in class, do well in classes, and take advantage of our trailblazing technology. Meeting some of their teachers will give students an opportunity to find out what teachers expect from students.
The event is free, but please pre – register if you plan on attending by e-mailing Eric Blaufuss TM 04, STM Recruitment/Communications Assistant at eblaufuss@tmore.org. Please include the child's name and a daytime telephone number.

Cavalier Summer Strength and Conditioning Program
Summer 2010
The focus of the Cavalier Strength and Conditioning Program is to develop individuals as overall athletes. The main focus of the program is on developing overall core strength and hip flexibility to reinsure proper strength base and joint mobility for advanced dynamic exercises. We will then build on the core foundation by introducing advanced lifting techniques taught by highly trained coaches through the use of progression and emphasis on proper lifting mechanics and technique.
All athletes are highly encouraged to participate. These training sessions will develop overall school spirit, leadership skills as well as team cohesion and speed.
