Financial Aid
TUITION:
Tuition for the 2009-2010 school year is $7,850. Tuition can be paid in full prior to the start of the school year or on a monthly basis. Families will be asked in April to notify the school if they will be paying the tuition in full or using the payment plan option. The monthly payment plan application process occurs during April. Monthly payments begin in July and end in May. Families that apply for admission after the beginning of April are handled on an individual basis.
At registration in January, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required. The registration deposit, while non-refundable, is applied towards tuition.
The monthly payment plan application process occurs in April every year. Tuition payments begin in August and end in May. Families applying after April are processed on an individual basis. Please call Linda Janick, Executive Assistant at (414) 481-8370 x 101 for more details.
The first down payment on the tuition balance is due by June 30th. This down payment is 10% of the tuition balance after deposits, scholarships, and grants are deducted.
Fees that are not included in the cost of tuition include sports fees, technology (laptop) fee, e-book licensing fee and the fee for setting up the tuition payment plan. Detailed information regarding fees is made available to our families during the registration process.
FINANCIAL AID, GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
Saint Thomas More High School understands that families make sacrifices to provide their children with a Catholic education. Financial aid is available for families that can demonstrate financial need. While families must demonstrate need, aid is awarded based on a student’s academic performance, conduct, attendance and participation in extra-curricular activities. Students are ranked according to this criteria and the percentage of aid that will be awarded will be determined by each student's rank.
Families must re-apply for grants each school year.
STM offers the opportunity for students to apply for a variety of internal and external scholarships. To be eligible for a scholarship packet, students must be accepted for admission and be registered for classes. The scholarships vary in amounts ranging from $500 - $1,000. Some scholarships are specific to incoming freshmen and are not renewable.
To apply for Financial Aid, incoming and current families must fill out an application with FACTS, STM’s outside financial aid evaluation service. Families can apply online at www.factstuitionaid.com. You can also fill out a paper application and mail it to FACTS. Contact Eric Blaufuss TM 04, Recruitment Assistant, to request a packet.
